Hangzhou Hefang Street

Hefang Street is the most famous and well preserved cultural and historic street in Hangzhou. It is located at the foot of the scenic Wushan Hill and close to the famous West Lake. After the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Hefang Street is still prosperous as a marketplace today. Hundred years ago, Hefang Street was an importance place of Hangzhou and the commercial center in ancient China.

Nowadays, Hefang Street is a great place for eating and shopping. It is known as the snack street serving diverse delicious snacks from everywhere. Except serving the food all around the country, it also highlights the local flavor at the same time. Food junkies must fall in love with this place.

What’s more, visitors can also find a variety of Chinese crafts here, such as land-blown sugar candy, paper-cutting, hand-made dough figurines and other funny things, as well as full-street of art hawkers, candy sculptors, pillow shops, caricaturists, old-fashioned movie players, storytellers, bonsai shops, teahouses and so on,  making Hefang Street charmingly lively.
